Nowadays trend is getting the ultra small laptop instead normal-sized laptop or traditional desktop computer. There is nothing wrong when you decide to choose this kind of laptop. But it is better to have enough knowledge about it.
Display Screen
The biggest different between Ultra Small Laptop and normal-sized laptop is come from its display screen. Normal-sized laptop gives at least 13.3-inch for your convenience display. But with ultra small laptop, you can have for about 5-inch display. It makes the laptop look cute but for somewhat reason, you cannot sit front of the laptop for longer time.
It can make your vision disturbed and tired your eyes. Just like the difference if you read a book with normal or bigger font instead the tiny font.
Processor
Most of the ultra small laptop has Intel Atom processor inside for boosting your computing tasks. This Intel processor is great enough but you can hope it will act as your normal laptop even like your desktop computer.
Storage space
Most normal laptop nowadays provides at least 160GB hard drive for storing your data. With ultra small laptop, the biggest numbers of hard drive ranging from 40GB to 120GB. If this capacity is not enough for you, you can invest in external hard drive with bigger capacity.
Optical Drive and Port
Before you buy the Mini Notebooks, it is better for you to know that most of this kind of laptop can have fewer ports. And because the ultra small laptop has slight thickness, most of them do not provide any optical drive. Therefore, for playing your CD or DVD, use the portable or external optical drive.

Fujitsu U/B50

This Sony ultra small laptop provides the simplification of notebook computer yet with the qualities of PDA. This PCG-U1 is supported with 867MHz TM5800 Crusoe processor which giving up to four hours of battery life time.
The screen size is 6.4-inch which also provides 1024 x 768 resolution pixels. The processing speed is also supported with 256MB memory and ATI Mobility Radeon-M network as graphic card. The storage capacity is in the average, for about 40GB Video Card for storing your data and Windows XP OS.
Summary
Take Smallest Laptop is very comfortable because of its small size. Both of Fujitsu and Sony ultra small laptop are giving the new way of computing. But unfortunately, this ultra small laptop is only marketed in Japan.
